MicroAnalytics, Inc. Donates Software to the Yellowstone County Council on Aging
ARLINGTON, VA – August 15, 2000 – Bradford Knapp of the Yellowstone Council on Aging announced today that their organization has received a donated copy of “TruckStops Fleet Routing Software” from MicroAnalytics, Inc., of Arlington, VA.
The software, valued at more than $8,000, will be used to route vehicles for the non-profit group’s “Meals on Wheels” program. The Yellowstone County Council on Aging has operated the Meals on Wheels program since 1975. They currently have twelve vehicles serving between 150 to 200 senior citizens in the county.
In presenting the gift, J. Michael Hooban, president of MicroAnalytics, Inc. said, “We are pleased and honored to have the opportunity to assist such a worthy cause. We hope that using TruckStops will help the council provide even greater service to its clients.”
“We plan to use the system to reduce our routing time, develop more efficient routes and reduce our delivery costs,” said Knapp. “The people at MicroAnalytics have been very helpful in donating the system and helping us with implementation.”
Available for Windows® 98/95/NT, TruckStops can be used either dynamically, for scheduling vehicles on routes that change daily, or strategically, for planning and updating fixed delivery rounds.
