Burger King® Distributor Chooses TruckStops Routing & Scheduling System
ARLINGTON, VA - March 13, 2001 - King Provision Corporation, an independently owned distributor to over 1400 Burger King® Restaurants in 16 states, recently chose TruckStops Routing & Scheduling System to optimize their distribution from 3 locations, according to a report from MicroAnalytics, the Arlington, Virginia-based company that produces TruckStops.
"We are extremely satisfied with TruckStops and the results that we have already seen," said Bill Bowers, Corporate Vice President of King Provision. "We have compared routes we are currently running to those generated by TruckStops and see a minimum savings potential of at least .7% of gross sales revenue."
King Provision is an independently owned distributing company founded in 1969 to service Burger King® restaurants in Northeast Florida from its Jacksonville distribution center. In the 1980's it opened additional centers in Tampa, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, and Atlanta, Georgia. King provision recently consolidated the Jacksonville and Tampa centers into a new 100,000 square foot facility in Jacksonville and replaced the Atlanta and Louisville distribution centers with new state-of-the-art facilities that are also 100,000 square feet in size.
After reviewing TruckStops and two other routing systems, King Provision decided on TruckStops. "The software contains everything we need at a great price" Bowers said, "all the bells and whistles of the more expensive programs are present in TruckStops - it's a great system and a great value."
Available for Windows® 95/98/NT/00, TruckStops can be used either dynamically, for scheduling vehicles on routes that change daily, or strategically, for planning and updating fixed delivery routes.
MicroAnalytics has produced high-quality, affordable logistics software since 1984.
