TruckStops Routing Software Voted #1 in Brazil®

Arlington, VA - January 27, 1997 -- The TruckStops Fleet Routing System published by MicroAnalytics, Inc. was voted best software by the readers of Logistics Moderna, a major Brazillian transportation trade magazine. In winning the award, TruckStops edged out one of its principal U.S. competitors, as well as eight other software programs sold in Brazil.

The award for Logis Top (Top 10) was accepted by Mr. Paulo Westmann, director of Technologia and Informatica (T&I), MicroAnalytics' distributor of TruckStops in Brazil. Other companies receiving awards were Mercedes-Benz (best equipment), Unidock (best fleet company) and Volkswagen (best employer).

TruckStops has a strong presence in Brazil with over 60 copies sold to companies such as Philip Morris, Sadia (Brazil's largest poultry producer) , and Nestle. MicroAnalytics has been selling TruckStops there, through T&I, since 1991. There are several reasons for TruckStops success, according to MicroAnalytics President, Mr. J. Michael Hooban.

"TruckStops is the only routing software with a Portuguese version," said Mr. Hooban. "In addition, we have many large, multinational companies with multiple distribution centers and divisions using TruckStops. When potential users see their industry leader with TruckStops, it gives the system strong credibility and respect.

Publicity has also contributed to TruckStops' high profile in Brazil. T&I held a press conference on November 12, 1996 to promote the new Windows version of TruckStops. Mr. Hooban attended the conference and met with several members of the Brazilian logistics and business press, including Gazeta Mercantil, Brazil's equivalent to The Wall Street Journal.
