TruckStops for Windows Available in 32-bit Version

Arlington, VA - February 5, 1997 -- The TruckStops for Windows fleet routing system, published by MicroAnalytics, Inc. is now available in a 32-bit version for Microsoft Windows '95 and Windows NT. Compared to the 16-bit version, this latest version of TruckStops improves on memory management and calculates route solutions over two times faster.

"The 32-bit version of TruckStops for Windows allows users to take advantage of special capabilities in Windows '95 and Windows NT. It gives them the ability to use current technology such as Pentium processors to full capacity", said MicroAnalytics president and founder, Mr. J. Michael Hooban

The 32-bit version is only limited in memory by the available hard disk space on a user's PC. Large files process faster in the 32-bit version of TruckStops which is helpful because routing systems such as TruckStops are very data intensive.

The 16-bit version of TruckStops allows for forward compatibility, meaning users running a 32-bit platform such as Windows '95 can use the 16-bit version of TruckStops. However, since Microsoft does not allow for backwards compatibility with Windows '95 or Windows NT, the new 32-bit version of TruckStops cannot be run on earlier Windows versions.

Available for Windows® 95/98/NT, TruckStops can be used either dynamically, for scheduling vehicles on routes that change daily, or strategically, for planning and updating fixed delivery routes.
