MicroAnalytics, Inc. Donates Software to Ryder Center for Logistics
ARLINGTON, VA - July 27, 1999 - Ryder Center for Logistics Director, Terry Goodwin, at the College of Business Administration of the Florida International University, announced today that the College has received a gift of three copies of "TruckStops Fleet Routing Software" from MicroAnalytics, Inc. of Arlington, Virginia.
In presenting the gift, J. Michael Hooban, President of MicroAnalytics, Inc. said, "We're honored you want to use one of our products as part of your curriculum."
The software, which is valued at more than $22,500, will be used in the College's Logistics Technology course. It will also be available for student use on special projects.
"We're grateful to MicroAnalytics, Inc. for their generous gift," Goodwin said, "It will allow our students to use real logistics software to understand the level of detail and complexity logistics professionals face every day."
TruckStops' flexibility has also allowed Schoeneman Beauty Supply to significantly lower operational costs. "TruckStops has become a very important part of our business. It's saving us buckets of money. Right now I estimate our savings at $180,000 this year," said Baddick, clarifying that this number is derived from actual profit resulting from TruckStops use.
Available for Windows® 95/98/NT, TruckStops can be used either dynamically, for scheduling vehicles on routes that change daily, or strategically, for planning and updating fixed delivery routes.
